DIRREN 50'

DIRREN shipyard offers the DIRREN 50’ QI ‘Integral Keelboat’: a keelboat with a retractable keel that can be beached just like any other ‘Pure Centerboarder’.

The bulbous retractable keel retracts completely into the ‘bustle’ when raised, allowing the boat to be beached.

Key features of the DIRREN 50’ QI:

- Powerful hull: 8–9 knots upwind, 12 knots at reaching, and 15 knots downwind planing in rough seas.

- Cutter rig with self-tacking staysail – the perfect combination for long-range cruising.

- Aluminium construction with hard chines. The bustle support plate is made of 16mm thick sheet.

- Dedicated handling cockpit forward of the leisure cockpit, just before the companionway. Like IMOCA cockpits, a single person can manage all the adjustments.

- Raised inboard helm station: 360° view, helm seat, watch bench.

- Engine integrated into the bustle to lower the centre of gravity as much as possible, short propeller shaft, propeller protected by the bustle.

- All fuel tanks (separate from the hull) are centred around the keel and positioned as low as possible.

- XXL engine compartment.

- Windlass and chain locker set back to reduce pitch.
